About This Event
On 20 October 2022, The Korea-Australia Relations Project (KARP) at the University of Melbourne hosted a distinguished public lecture and Q&A session with Her Excellency Catherine Raper, Australian Ambassador to the Republic of Korea.
One of the key pillars of the 2021 Australia-Korea Comprehensive Strategic Partnership was to promote people-to-people cooperation and exchanges. As Australia’s first female ambassador to South Korea and the granddaughter of a Korean War veteran, Ambassador Raper embodies the deep legacies and dynamic progress in the bilateral relationship. In this distinguished lecture, Ambassador Raper reflected on how the Australia-Korea relationship has been progressing under new governments in both countries and the importance of fostering people-to-people cooperation, including in the education sector.
